need Atticus Enterprise Mapping(tm)? |

There are many different types of
process mapping, many organisations use 'deployment' process maps to provide instructions
to individuals or groups. These are typically A4 size flow chart style maps.
The difference with AEM is that it builds and focuses on the 'whole
enterprise' view. It gives a 'big picture' of the organisation. It shows the integration
of process, information, IT and people at an enterprise level that enables key problems to
be identified, major changes planned and new insights realised.
Organisations need both deployment and enterprise mapping to manage the complex
interactions across an organisation. |
| I need to map my department - can I
use Enterprise Mapping? |

Enterprise Mapping is used to
model large and complex organisations or parts of organisations - it does not have to be
the whole enterprise! Typical examples include departments, functions or product streams. |
| Is Atticus Enterprise Mapping(tm)
dependant upon a particular software tool? |

No, Atticus will use the right
tool for the task. We deliver the majority of our projects using Visio although we have
used other tools as appropriate. |
| You stress that you can produce
Enterprise Maps quickly - can you give examples? |

This is a bit like how long is a
piece of string! - we have produced a current state map of an organisation in a couple of
weeks, a month is more typical. Larger projects, where more than one map is produced,
typically take about 3 months. |
